Ingeniero Informático para el cargo de IIS Microsoft Administrator

Multinational Company is seeking for a Web Application Administrator to work in a global Support team based in Santiago de Chile.
This is an engineering/support role that will support the production, engineering, integration and implementation of new application infrastructure capabilities specifically related to Microsoft IIS administration. This position will be called upon to assess new technologies, provide engineering guidance, perform engineering tasks in development, QA and production environments to insure that a production ready application infrastructure is available, support the rollout of new applications into the target environment and act as SME support in troubleshooting situations. This engineering role will work in and small development and/or operational teams as needed. The engineer is expected to have a solid working understanding of the IIS architecture as well as its operational and management features.

The engineer is also expected to have a thorough understanding of the Unix operating system thus allowing the role to perform design, engineering and troubleshooting tasks. Due to the nature of this application infrastructure environment the engineer will also understand such cross-functional topics as application development, networking, and database servers. The engineer is required to carry a pager and perform production support duties.

Qualifications
• Computer engineer or equivalent work experience required
• 2 + years of progressive experience in computing, development, client/server application integration and implementation
• 2 + years of knowledge and experience working with and administering Microsoft IIS environments Microsoft certification a plus
• Good communication skills - Specially Teaching skills.
• Knowledge of Apache/Tomcat/ Websphere is a plus.
• Knowledge of UNIX operating systems administration, troubleshooting
• Working knowledge of HTML, XML and scripting tools
• Strong research, investigation and evaluation skills
• Strong system analytic ability and practice
• Ability to multi-task and effectively prioritize in a highly dynamic work environment
• Experience with infrastructure technologies such as TCP/IP, firewalls, packet routing/switching and load balancing
